The factory, which has been operating for decades, is engaged in the production of medicinal candies. Initially, it started with the production of anise-menthol flavored hard candies, but over time it also switched to the production of honey-menthol, sour cherry-menthol and extra strong white Negro. The NEGRO candy was named after its inventor, Pietro Negro, who found the recipe while reusing the surplus created during the production and shaping of the sour candy. The NEGRO recipe was born by accident, but the composition is still a closely guarded manufacturing secret.
