Paddy is one of the most well-known and popular Irish whiskeys worldwide. However, it is less well-known that the name Paddy refers to one of the company's extremely successful travelling salesmen in the early days, a certain Mr Patrick Flaherty.
One of the Cork distillery's most popular whiskeys was named after his nickname. Thanks to the relatively low stills and the unusually high proportion of malt whiskey, Paddy is fantastically smooth.
