Product Usage

1. Directly from the can.
2. On a cracker.
3. On buttered bread (with parsley or chives).
4. Mix with mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.
5. Fry in oil with garlic, onion, tomato, a little lemon juice, salt, and pepper, then serve with rice!
6. Mix some into a salad.

About the Brand

Maison Rödel, founded in 1824, dates back to the beginnings of the food canning industry. In the early 19th century, Nicolas Appert, a chef, invented a modern process for preserving fresh food. The government was interested in this discovery and in 1824 established the first canning factory in the naval stores in Bordeaux, then entrusted the management of the factory to Charles Désiré Rödel, who was his former student.

The first canned goods were intended for ship captains. One part was used by the crew, and the other was sold in the distant territories they visited. Thus, sailors became the first representatives of the Rödel house. Since then, the Rödel brand has continuously enhanced its reputation, and today offers a variety of sardines, mackerel, tuna, seafood, vegetables, jams, and other selected products, chosen with the utmost care.
