IDS Buckwheat Pancakes
Product description
Pancakes appeared in Brittany in the 13th century. Buckwheat was brought back to France after the Asian crusades, which made it possible to make this thin, round dough. This is the beginning of the Breton galette! Because the savory pancakes are always made with buckwheat flour.
The buckwheat galette should be distinguished from the sweet pancake, which uses wheat flour, milk, eggs and butter.
Use
- Melt a knob of butter in a large frying pan.
- Place the pancake on it and pour the egg into the middle, taking care not to break the yolk.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- When the egg white begins to set, add the grated cheese and the ham slices.
- Fold in half or into a square.
- Grill for 2 minutes and it's ready.
