The tomato is a plant belonging to the nightshade family, which is native to South and Central America. Today, we can buy different types of special tomatoes all year round, such as small cherry tomatoes, slightly larger cocktail tomatoes or elongated plum-shaped (mini plum, mini San Marzano) or pear-shaped tomato varieties, in bunches or individually packaged.

Use

They can be conveniently consumed with sandwiches or used as a garnish for dishes. Their colour can also be very varied: in addition to the most common red berry colour, we also know varieties that ripen to pink, yellow, orange, brown and even green.

Granada La Palma is a trade union of producers and other employees in Spain. Their operation is cooperative in nature, so their cooperative model is organised along community interests and fits perfectly with the new interests of consumers. La Palma Cooperativa was founded in 1984 and since its establishment has grown to include around 150 producer members, with a turnover of over 10 million euros from fruit and vegetable cultivation. La Palma is a unique company that stands out in Europe for the production and distribution of cocktail tomatoes and special mini vegetables. 90% of their production is exported, primarily to Central European markets.
