Yutto Californian Salted Roasted Blanched Almonds

Californian salted roasted almond kernels blanched. Peeled, skinless almonds, deprived of the thin, membrane-like inner skin. Blanching is essentially a kitchen process in which the raw material is pre-cooked, heat-treated, and then quickly cooled down, thus stopping the cooking process. In many places, it is also called scalding or shocking, as the pre-cooking takes place in boiling water, but only for a relatively short time, so the raw material is really only shocked and does not cook completely.

If you follow a paleo or gluten-free diet, you have probably come across recipes that use blanched almonds or almond flour instead of traditional fine flour.
