Producer Information
It all began in the 1800s when David Sprüngli opened his small confectionery shop in Zurich. Thanks to Sprüngli's entrepreneurial spirit and passion, the business quickly grew. One Friday, he forgot to turn off the conching machine for the night at the factory. So the machine ran all night and then all weekend. The chocolate that Lindt found there the following Monday was delicately smooth and tasted like never before. The chocolate then changed forever and became world-famous.
