Summer is upon us, and with it comes sunflower season! Due to the beneficial physiological effects of its oil, it is considered a medicinal plant. The ingredients in tea made from sunflower petals are proven to have diuretic, fever-reducing, and wound-healing effects. Sunflower oil was initially used in leather and wool processing, and only since the early 19th century has it been used for culinary purposes. In the early 20th century, most of the oil was used to make soap.
Care
After purchase, the stems should be trimmed every 2 days, and the water should be changed.
The purchased plant must always be repotted to ensure its long-term survival indoors. We recommend repotting them into a larger pot or container so they feel comfortable in a heated apartment and do not wilt. It is also important not to forget to mist them (with water)!
