Interesting facts

Few people know that the Peony is one of the most durable cut flowers, capable of decorating our home for up to 8-10 days, and it will show us a different face every day.

The garden peony originates from China, where it has been cultivated for nearly 2000 years, making it one of the oldest ornamental plants. For centuries, it was used as a medicinal herb; extracts made from it were used to treat jaundice and rheumatism, for example.

Storage

Before placing the flower in the vase, store it in a dark, cool place for a few hours, then put it in room temperature water. After this, it is advisable to place the bouquet in a dark-walled vase for the longest possible lifespan. It likes rainwater, but if you use tap water, it's worth letting it sit in the vase for 1-2 hours beforehand to allow it to settle and warm up to room temperature. It is advisable to place the bouquet in a draft-free location and change its water every day.

Tip: For 1 liter of water, add 1 teaspoon of sugar and vinegar as nourishment for the flower. Add 200 ml of boric acid to the water; it extends the freshness of the bouquet.
