Remia is a dynamic family business that produces a wide range of sauces, margarines and fats in Den Dolder, the Netherlands. The company was founded by Arie de Rooij in 1925, when he started mixing margarine in the shed of his home in Amersfoort. Remia margarine was a success and the company grew steadily. The factory was then moved to Den Dolder and in 1960 Remia expanded its activities with the production of sauces. At the end of the 1960s, the Remia product range had grown into a complete range of products such as margarine, baking fat, French fries sauce and salad dressing.

More than 95 years after its foundation, Remia has become one of the most important and innovative sauce and margarine producers in the Netherlands. By continuously responding to changing consumer needs and with innovative product introductions, Remia has always been able to achieve growth in the market.
