Nagy-Somlói Juhfark 2021

Juhfark Reserve is the wine of purposeful eccentrics who are not bound by conventions because they know what they want and are never afraid to start something new. They are unique, special and not at all boring, just like the rich, characterful flavour of Juhfark Reserve. After barrel fermentation, we age it on lees for 6 months so that the characteristic flavours of the terroir and the aromas of the barrel can blend into an exciting, adventurous wine. Its aroma reveals both stony minerality and tropical fruits, which immediately entice you to distant lands.

Its flavour is enriched by ripe acids in addition to peach and pear, while the smokiness of the barrel definitely appears in the background. Juhfark Reserve is a truly cosmopolitan drink that combines the unmistakable features of Somló, the progressive spirit of domestic tradition and foreign wine culture: it is both extravagant and refined, which only becomes more complete during bottle ageing.

"For us, Somló has always been the base, the moral foundation." (András Fehérvári) The Fehérvári family's connection to Somló dates back to 1545. Along with the family estate, the knowledge and experience accumulated over generations are also passed down from father to son, following tradition. This is why their wines and all their activities are inspired by the fundamental values and deep emotions that are born in a person's life during great moments, serious thoughts and decisions.

The real strength of Fehérvári Borbirtok lies in its small-scale operation and the duality of tradition and innovation that permeates all of their work. Storage

Store at 10-15 degrees, in a dark, closed place, consume within 1-2 days after opening.
