Producer information

Gábor Kauser and Gábor Ellenrieder opened their bakery in the 1st district in December 2017, inspired by a trip to Paris, where they wanted to open a similar place to the local boulangeries (bakeries) and pâtisseries (pastry shops) in Budapest. When the store opened, pastry chef Stephane Gerphagnon helped them a lot in developing the recipes, and the small Mészáros utca bakery, based on French tradition, quickly became a favorite of the people of Buda.

In the artisan bakery, sourdough breads, baguettes, pastries and French pastries are produced every day by two bakers and a pastry chef. They work with high-quality Hungarian and French ingredients, and all their products are made on site. It is also a show bakery, so anyone can follow the work of the pastry chef and the bakers through a glass wall. Of their 30-35 bread recipes, they bake 4 different types every day. Semi-brown and baguette are among the permanent offerings, while the others are in constant rotation, and variety is evident not only in the breads, but also in the bakeries and pastries, where we can always count on something new.
