O'HARA'S Nitro Irish Stout

O’Hara’s Irish Stout has a robust roasted flavour, complemented by full-bodied and mellow aromas. The generous addition of Fuggle hops lends a tangy bitterness to the dry espresso-like finish. It is full of rich, complex coffee flavours that mingle with subtle liquorice notes. The combination of traditional stout hops with an extra pinch of roasted barley allows us to taste the Irish tradition, while satisfying the flavour so often craved by stout drinkers.

Deep black in colour, with reddish hues when held up to the light. A thick, creamy head sits on top. Its aroma is rich in complex coffee flavours, mixed with notes of coffee liqueur. When consumed from a glass, the roasted aromatic scents are intensified thanks to the carbonic acid. Its aftertaste reveals a pleasant bitterness from the Fuggle hops, which is concluded with roasted espresso flavours.

The flagship of the O’Hara’s brand, this uniquely Irish Stout brings one back to the old taste of Irish Stouts. It was first brewed in 1999, and has since received prestigious awards for its quality and authenticity.

Producer information

Beer brewing in Ireland has a long history, with Porter beers being brewed as early as the 1700s. By the 18th century, most market towns had their own brewery, with different regions brewing different types. Irish brewing slowly declined over the last 200 years, mainly due to the arrival of international companies. Meanwhile, in England and America, the craft beer revival began in the 1980s. The O'Hara family decided in the early 1990s, with fellow beer enthusiasts, that it was important to join them in brewing great Irish beer again.
