The dragon tree has good shade tolerance, so it also develops nicely in a north-facing room, and is also excellent for air purification. In its natural habitat, it grows into a tree that is taller than 10m, but when grown in a container, this evergreen ornamental plant only develops into a smaller, 1-2 meter shrub, which is primarily decorated with a leaf rosette at the top of the stem. 

The purchased plant must always be replanted in order to survive in the apartment in the long term. We recommend replanting them in a larger pot or box so that they feel good in the heated apartment and do not wither. It is important not to forget to spray (with water)!

Use

It develops most beautifully in a bright but sun-protected place, but its light requirement is actually low compared to most indoor plants.  It is a drought-tolerant plant, but it is best to keep its soil constantly moist during the growing season.

It is not particularly sensitive to the humidity of the air, but dry air, especially in winter, can affect it somewhat. It can be fertilized monthly in spring and summer, and due to its frost sensitivity, it should be kept in a room warmer than 15°C during the winter. Replanting may become necessary every two years.

Storage

It should be stored in a non-dry room between 15-20 °C.
