Svijany Rytír  light Czech lager

Traditional, bottom-fermented technology typical of Czech beers. Hopped five times, unpasteurized. The foam is wonderfully creamy and long-lasting. It leaves distinct rings on the glass. Its colour is deep, amber yellow. Its aroma is malty, with a slight yeasty touch, which is later permeated by the spicy, floral aroma of hops. Its taste is round and hoppy, as well as strongly bitter. Cold-hopped (dry hopping) afterwards.

Producer information

The Svijany brand represents traditional Czech beers, which are made from the excellent quality water of their own wells, selected malt from small independent Czech and Moravian malt houses and their own excellent Saaz hops, which they grow themselves. Production takes place using the traditional production method, which is unfortunately disappearing today, and which was used by all Czech breweries in the second half of the 20th century. In this method, the mash is thoroughly boiled and the hops are also boiled for a long time, matured in open vats in the fermentation room and then fermented for a long time. The beer is not chemically treated at all, and is delivered to the market unpasteurized, i.e. in a "live" form, so the beers retain the pleasantly clean taste and aroma of hops.
