Aspirin Complex granules have analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and decongestant effects. The white or yellowish granules contain two active ingredients: acetylsalicylic acid and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. This medicine is used to relieve nasal congestion and pressure and tension in the face and forehead (rhinosinusitis) in colds and/or flu-like illnesses accompanied by pain and fever, and to relieve pain and fever. If only one of the listed symptoms occurs in your case, it is more advisable to take a medicine that contains only one of the active ingredients. Things to know before using Aspirin Complex granules Do not take Aspirin Complex granules: if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to acetylsalicylic acid, pseudoephedrine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6); if you have previously had asthma that was triggered by taking salicylates or similar substances (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs); if you have a stomach ulcer; if you have an increased tendency to bleed; if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you have kidney or liver failure; if you have severe heart failure; if you are taking 15 mg (or more) of methotrexate per week; if you have very high blood pressure or severe coronary artery disease; if you are also taking an antidepressant containing a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAO inhibitor) (or have taken one in the past two weeks).
