Their winery is known for its commitment to returnable, deposit-based wine distribution. On the one hand, because their products reach our consumers at a much lower price, and on the other hand, because they believe in the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development. With some delay, they decided to make an exception to their principles in the case of wine bags. The wine bag is a single-use, disposable packaging, but the biological footprint of this few grams of plastic film is probably negligible. It weighs more heavily that it is expensive, much more expensive than the 0.75, but especially the 1.5 l bottle packaging. However, it is worth the price if you need to buy a larger quantity of wine. You don't have to carry the weight of heavy, rigid, fragile bottles, and you don't have to consume the remaining wine within a few days after consumption. Since no air enters the bag, the wine can remain fresh for months after opening. Apart from its still unusual and by no means elegant appearance, we know of only one disadvantage, that it is only suitable for distributing still wines, so lovers of sparkling wines will have to stick to glass bottles. They start with their most popular wines, if you like your biggest favorites, if successful, of course they will continuously expand the selection of their wines distributed in wine bags.

Péter Varga started working in the Badacsonyörs winery with his wife and parents on January 4, 1993. Today he works with his two sons and hopes that they will later continue the winery with his grandchildren. Over the past 20 years, Hungarian viticulture has been fundamentally renewed professionally and technologically, and the quality of wines has reached Western European standards. At the same time, the demands of consumers have also developed and changed a lot. Today, people drink less and less, but rather taste wines; they are looking for the interesting and the special. They no longer drink only the wines of nearby wine regions, but are able to get acquainted with the wine offerings of the country, Europe and even the whole world. Therefore, it is not enough to make beautiful, balanced wines, we need wines that leave a mark on the consumer, that they will remember and will choose again from the thousands of items on offer.
