Description
The fruit of the pepper is a source of important minerals such as potassium, phosphorus, and calcium, and also contains Beta-carotene and bioflavonoids, which neutralize free radicals, thus providing some protection against cancer.
Interesting facts
Chili was already consumed in South America in 7500 BC. Archaeological findings indicate that it was first cultivated as a crop in the territory of Ecuador. With the discovery of America, Columbus and his fellow explorers were the first to encounter peppers and brought them to Europe.
The spiciness of chili peppers can be increased by giving them less water.

Usage
During the summer, if possible, move the chili pepper plants outdoors to a sunny, but preferably somewhat sheltered spot. Do not let them dry out, but also do not overwater them.
Chili does not need to be pruned like tomatoes.
However, if the plant is not bushy enough, or has become very leggy, pinch back the shoot tip of a seedling that is already about 15 cm tall.
Culinary Use
Regarding its use, it is most commonly encountered as a spice. We use it fresh, or as dried ground powder, or in the form of chili paste, but be very careful during its use.
Storage
Store in a dry, cool place, between 6-10 °C.
