Várszegi Rosé 2022 12.5%

Perhaps the most sought-after wine from our winery is the Rosé cuvée, made from 50% Kékfrankos and 50% Pinot Noir in this vintage. We aimed for a light onion skin colour, and in taste and aroma, you can recognise pleasant raspberry, strawberry, and red berry fruits. Its taste is made more pleasant and airy by the small amount of added carbon dioxide. A fresh, light, easy-drinking summer wine.

Producer information

In 2010, when the family decided to establish their own winery, after much deliberation, they chose the South Balaton Wine Region. One thing they were sure of was that they loved wine and Lake Balaton. That's why they chose this very versatile wine region, where they can produce white, red wines, and even sparkling wine.

The wine region stretches along the entire southern shore of Lake Balaton, on the slopes of the Somogy Hills. The soil structure is characterised by loess, which provides an excellent opportunity for producing intense, fruity wines. 60% of the grape varieties in the wine region are white, and this proportion is also observed at the winery. Both Hungarian and international varieties can be found in the vineyards; among the reds, Merlot and Kékfrankos, and among the whites, Chardonnay and Irsai Olivér hold outstanding potential.
