Live-flora, semi-fat yogurt, Fat content 2.8% (m/m) Preservative- and additive-free Hungarian producer product from a social economy

The manufacturer fills soft cheese curd into small soft cheese molds, drains the whey from it, then drains it for 1-2 days to dry the surface of the cheese. Then, one by one, it is rolled into a preservative-free spice mixture, immediately wrapped in shrink wrap, and then stored in a cold storage room for 1-2 days so that the spice can penetrate the inside of the cheese.
 

The story of the Kastélyosdombói Cheese Workshop is an exceptional meeting of centuries-old tradition, 21st century technology and real social commitment. The Ecumenical Aid Organization brought the farm of the former Erdődy castle in the 300-strong village of Somogy county back to life in 2013: it announced a unique program for families who had lost their homes, who could start a new, independent life by learning and working on the castle's reviving farm. The Kastélyosdombói Cheese Workshop is a small but state-of-the-art facility where there is no mass production: they produce small quantities of premium quality artisan dairy products.
