Producer information
Geeta Samtani and her husband, Beni, started making Geeta's chutney in the early 1990s. During their years in the Caribbean, Geeta perfected her traditional recipe. Using fruit from the mango trees in their Caribbean garden, the first mango chutney was made to a family recipe passed down through generations.

After moving to London, Geeta's passion for cooking led to her delicious chutneys quickly becoming popular with her neighbours. Then came a pivotal moment when Geeta took her chutneys to a UK trade show and a buyer from a leading UK supermarket chain stopped by to sample them. It was clear that Geeta's award-winning mango chutney had outgrown her London kitchen. Geeta and Beni found a chutney-making home in India, where they could guarantee the freshness of the spices, the expertise in chutney-making and the very best mangoes.

In 1993, Geeta's Premium Mango Chutney hit the shelves of UK supermarkets in its iconic hexagonal jar.
