The history of Galbani began in 1882 in a small Italian village in the lush green valley of the Lombard Alps, near the shores of Lake Lecco, in Valsassina. This was where Egidio Galbani and his father Davide started making cheese. Galbani invented the first modern version of mozzarella. Over the years, Galbani has become the favourite cheese brand of Italians. Today, it is also available in many other countries, so that everyone can enjoy the Italian way of life.
