Usage
Put on a condom before any contact between the penis and the other person. This helps to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. Check the expiry date on the condom wrapper before use. If the condom wrapper is visibly damaged, throw it away and use a new condom with an undamaged wrapper. To put on a condom:
- Open
With clean hands, carefully tear open the condom wrapper from the serrated edge. Handle the condom carefully, as fingernails or sharp objects can easily damage it. - Squeeze
Squeeze the air out of the reservoir tip and place it on the tip of the erect penis. - Roll down
Roll the condom down the penis to its base. Make sure the condom doesn’t slip off or become too tight on the penis – this can cause the condom to break. - Hold on
When you withdraw, hold the condom at its base, knot it and throw it away. Do not flush it down the toilet!
Usage advice:
Use only lubricants recommended for use with condoms. Oil-based lubricants (petroleum jelly, baby oil and some pessaries) and some medicines applied to the penis or vagina can damage condoms.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
