Tchibo Budapest Kft. was founded in 1991 as a subsidiary of Tchibo GmbH, and since 1997, following the acquisition of Eduscho, Tchibo has been one of the leading coffee companies in the roasted coffee market. The company is present on the Hungarian coffee market with three brands.

Since 2007, Tchibo has also introduced its unique and extremely successful retail model in Hungary, which is based on offering excellent quality loose bean coffee, coffee drinking options and a colourful product range based on regularly renewed themes within a single store.
