The traditional activity of Szegedi Paprika Spice and Canning Factory Ltd. is the production and distribution of ground paprika. Nowadays, grinding takes place in one of the mills with the longest history, yet equipped with the most up-to-date technology, thanks to development and investments.

In 2010, the European Commission registered the Protected Designation of Origin for Szegedi paprika. This means that every production and technological operation, from the seed to the ground paprika that reaches the final consumer, is carried out in the Szegedi fűszerpaprika - termő tájkörzet area, under controlled conditions.
