Gyermelyi Vita Pasta durum Masni

Masni is a type of elongated pasta similar to bow-tie pasta. Due to its shape, it has different thicknesses and textures in the middle and on the edges, and this varied surface can be felt when eating it. It is delicious when it is still crunchy in the middle. It is one of the most cheerful shapes of modern cuisine, and it also goes well with the most varied flavour combinations.
What is durum pasta?
It is made from durum flour, without using eggs. Durum wheat is richer in protein than everyday wheat, and it is also easier to handle, which is why it is easy to make pasta from it. In addition, it consists of complex carbohydrates, which are an excellent source of energy. So if you consume it with the right ingredients, such as vegetables and fish, it can also be incorporated into your healthy diet. It also easily causes a feeling of fullness. Therefore, it can also become part of a weight-loss diet, as you do not need to consume much of it to feel full.

Ingredients
250 g Gyermelyi Vita Pasta Durum Masni, 200 g tomatoes (small), 100 g rocket, 4 spring onions, 200 g tomatoes (peeled, seeded), 1 lemon, 1 dl olive oil, 200 g mozzarella (mini), 1 bunch of basil, salt, ground pepper, 1 dl tomato juice.
Preparation
- Clean and wash the vegetables, then dry them.
- Put the tomato juice, tomato cubes, olive oil, salt, pepper, basil, chopped onion and lemon juice in a mixing bowl and mix well.
- Stir in the cooked, cooled pasta, mozzarella, halved, small tomatoes and rocket.
- Serve cold.

Gyermelyi Zrt. is Hungary's leading pasta manufacturer, largest egg producer and an indispensable player in the milling industry. In addition, it carries out agricultural activities on an area of 8,800 hectares, operating a closed vertical integration. It all started on 21 January 1953, when twelve farmers from Gyermely, unable to bear the increasingly impossible burdens of individual farming, founded the Petőfi Cooperative. In 1970, the government decided to build a pasta factory, for which they were looking for a location. Gyermely's reputable cooperative undertook the task and was given the opportunity. This is how Gyermelyi Zrt. was founded.
