YouTyúk Free Range "M" Size Eggs 

What you need to know about YouTyúk is the dual purpose and how it is implemented.

The dual purpose is as follows: on the one hand, we would like to achieve that the current situation can change, and that there is a realistic livelihood for more and more rural farmers/families for honest work, with which they produce really healthy and high-quality food (eggs from free-range, scratching hens, hens fed with the farmer's own feed, without hormones and antibiotics). On the other hand, we would like to achieve that the already existing demand of the buyers can be met by Hungarian and mainly home-made food, all this in a traceable, verifiable, clean and impeccable way.
In summary, rebuilding trust and the issue of shared responsibility is important for both participants. This is our very practical philosophy.

YouTyúk-compatible egg production conditions:

• The animals spend at least 8 hours a day in a free, uncovered area of at least 4m2/hen. This can be deviated from in case of inappropriate weather conditions (cold, heavy precipitation, extreme heat, etc.) that negatively affect the health of the animals.
• At least 2/3 of the feed is non-GMO corn and wheat from small-scale producers or family farms grown on Hungarian-owned land in Hungary. 1/3 can be alfalfa, alfalfa flour, oats or premix, provided that it does not contain animal ingredients, soy or its derivatives, as well as medicines or medicinal products, or synthetically produced substances.
• Lighting, cooling or heating can be used to maintain the animals' daily routine, depending on the season.

Safety warning

Do not wash the eggshell before use! According to the latest consumer protection advice, the shell should not be washed or rubbed hard, as this can damage the egg's natural outer protective layer and make the shell permeable to bacteria. The thin protein layer covering the egg, the cuticle, is damaged by washing, which reduces the product's shelf life and increases the risk of infection.
