The story of Duvel Moortgat is based on respect for tradition and family values. Today, the 4th generation of the Moortgat family guards the heritage of founder Jan-Leonard Moortgat and his two sons, Albert and Victor. In 1923, they started brewing Duvel with a few crates. Nowadays, Duvel is literally enjoyed all over the world (in more than 60 countries) by countless beer lovers. The beer is still brewed with great respect for the original recipe and the time needed for maturation.
