About the brand

We, the Cappy team, have been squeezing the most goodness out of fruits for over 60 years. The fruits of our labour are tasty, nutritious and outstanding quality fruit juices, nectars and fruit drinks.

On 13 May 1940, anticipating the imminent German invasion of Belgium, Carl West, the Coca-Cola manager in Belgium, suggested to his staff that they escape to England with their equipment and sugar stocks. However, their journey, which was full of dramatic events, was unsuccessful, as they were forced to return to Belgium on the shores of the English Channel. Upon their return, they were surprised to find the plant intact.

Despite the war, life went on. Since it was impossible to obtain the famous Coca-Cola concentrate from the United States, Carl West developed an orange-flavoured drink, which he named Cappy. The Belgians immediately took the drink to their hearts, and it later became one of The Coca-Cola Company's most popular brands.
