Interesting facts

The tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a plant belonging to the nightshade family, native to South and Central America. Today, we can buy various special types of tomatoes all year round, including small cherry, slightly larger cocktail, elongated berry-shaped (mini plum, mini San Marzano), or pear-shaped tomato varieties, available in clusters or as individual berries.

Usage

They can be practically consumed with sandwiches or used as a garnish for dishes. Their color can also be very varied: in addition to the most common red berry color, we also know varieties that ripen to pink, yellow, orange, brown, and even green. 

Storage

Store in a dry, cool place between 10-12 °C.
