In the Double Rainbow box, you'll find two types of Ethiopian coffee capsules: dry-processed Sidamo in the brown one, and washed Andaracha in the pink one. We want you to taste how different flavor profiles the processing methods yield, meaning you can compare what you've only heard about in a coffee shop – "washed" or "natural".

What does processing mean? After harvest, the coffee cherry is a fruit that looks like a cross between hibiscus and cherry. The fruit's pulp must be removed, then the seeds dried (the seeds are green coffee, meaning we actually make our favorite morning drink from the seeds of the coffee cherry), and these seeds (the green coffee beans) reach us.

Tasting them side-by-side, the difference between the two coffee processing methods is perfectly discernible: an experience one rarely gets so purely.

Naturally, both coffees are light-roasted Ethiopian coffees made from the highest quality Arabica beans, with the floral-fruity-acidic taste and aroma notes characteristic of such coffees.

Samurai Shoelace is the first domestic company exclusively engaged in the production of specialty coffee capsules. Their mission is to make the true specialty coffee experience accessible at home and a part of everyday life.

The founders of Samurai Shoelace opened their first specialty coffee shop in Budapest in 2016. In 2020, they began experimenting with coffee capsule production, which gradually grew into an independent business branch: thus, the Samurai Shoelace brand was born.

They work exclusively with the highest quality Arabica coffees, which they roast themselves and fill into 100% recyclable, Nespresso-compatible, premium aluminum capsules in their own Budapest facility. By keeping the entire production and quality control process in their hands, they ensure continuous, perfect quality!
