Royal Crown Cola Classic (RC Cola) is a soft drink of American origin, first developed in 1905. RC Cola is a popular alternative to Pepsi and Coca-Cola, especially in the United States and some other countries.

• In taste, it is similar to Coca-Cola and Pepsi, but a little sweeter and less acidic.
• Royal Crown Cola Classic is made according to the original recipe and is sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup or sugar (may vary by country).

About the brand

The drink originally started under the name Chero-Cola and after several name changes, it received the name Royal Crown Cola. In the 1950s, RC Cola was the first brand to sell its soft drink in aluminum cans. Since the 1980s, RC Cola has undergone several changes of ownership, but it is still available in some markets today.  RC Cola was one of the first soft drinks to offer caffeine-free and diet versions. The brand's popularity remains significant in some countries, such as the Philippines and parts of Europe, to this day. In the mid-20th century, RC Cola tried to stand out with unique marketing strategies, for example, they sold the soft drink in larger bottles than competitors Coca-Cola or Pepsi.
