Marks and Spencer Golden Marzipan

Cover cakes and create edible decorations with golden marzipan. It provides a soft, almond-flavoured coating for your home baking delights.

Usage

Knead the marzipan until pliable, then roll it out to approximately 5 mm (quarter inch) thickness on a clean, dry surface lightly dusted with icing sugar. Spread the cake with cold apricot jam, then cover the cake with marzipan. Lift the marzipan with a rolling pin and drape it over the cake. Smooth it into place with the palm of your hand, working from the centre outwards and down the sides. Trim off any excess marzipan with a sharp knife. This pack covers the top and sides of a 15 cm (6") round cake.
