Producer information

The logo of the Guinness brand is the harp, which is also the symbol of the country. The history of Ireland's most famous brand began in 1759 at St. James Gate in Dublin, when brewer Arthur Guinness leased the brewery for 9000 years for £45 a year. Here he began producing top-fermented porter, then in the 1840s they switched to making "single" and "double" stout beers. The single corresponds to porter, the double to extra stout, and later the foreign stout, which was intended for export, appeared.

Guinness is now available in over one hundred and twenty countries worldwide, and its name is synonymous with dry stout. It also frequently appears in gastronomy, on the one hand enriching ingredients with a special flavour, and on the other hand, it pairs excellently with various meat dishes, hearty meals, or even desserts.
