Halibut fillet java (Atlantic giant flounder) farmed (with skin)
The Atlantic giant flounder is native to the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea. It can grow to a huge size (several hundred kilograms). Its meat is white, tasty, firm, and slightly sweet, which is why it is popular in gastronomy. It can be prepared by baking, grilling or steaming. Atlantic halibut meat is a popular ingredient among top gastronomy players.
Preparation:
Halibut fillet java (Atlantic giant flounder) farmed (with skin) can be excellently prepared in the oven or in a pan. Since halibut meat is thicker and fattier than that of other fish, it is best to simply season it with salt and pepper and then fry it with olive oil. Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 20-25 minutes, until the fish is cooked through and the skin is crispy. In a pan over medium heat, fry on both sides for 4-5 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
