First produced in 1968, and now available in a variety of flavours in over 100 countries. In 1970, the name was changed to Tic Tacs, reflecting the distinctive sound of the mints rattling in their containers. In addition to the original orange and fresh mint flavours, many new varieties have been added, including anise, cinnamon, and a mix of orange, melon, peppermint, sour apple, and a combination of mandarin, strawberry, and grapefruit. Tic Tac has an image that emphasises its low calorie count. The mint variety contains only 1.9 calories per sweet.
