Acidity

All coffee beans contain naturally occurring acids. Coffee is a fruit, where the presence of acids is typical. Arabica beans generally have more acids than Robusta beans. The degree of roasting also affects the acidity of the coffee. Light roasted coffee has more pronounced acids than dark roasted coffee. However, this acidity is not a sign of faulty roasting, on the contrary, it gives the coffee a pleasant fruity taste. Those who like a spicier and more refreshing taste will appreciate coffee with a high acid content. For those who prefer a spicier cup, full of flavour and a hint of chocolate, we recommend coffee with a low acid content.

Roast level

The roast level shows how strongly the beans have been roasted. Generally, the lower the roast level, the more acidic the coffee - characterised by a fresh, fruity flavour. The higher the roast level, the more pronounced the coffee flavour - strong coffee flavour with chocolate undertones.

Flavour profile

Coffee with a lower flavour value has a milder and simpler taste. Coffee with a higher value has a complex and layered flavour. However, the decisive factor is always the amount of perceptible aromas.
