About the brand

The history of Dr. Oetker dates back to 1891: this is when pharmacist Dr. August Oetker experimented with the now classic baking powder. The company's headquarters have been in Bielefeld ever since, but Dr. Oetker products are available in 40 countries outside Germany. The European and overseas organizations employ almost 8000 people. The Oetker family has always played an active role in managing the company throughout its more than 100-year history.

Oetker products appeared in Hungary shortly after the foundation, at the beginning of the last century. Today, 350 people work in the Budapest office and the Jánossomorja factory.
