Coldrex tablets are indicated for the short-term relief of symptoms of colds and flu, such as fever, headache, sore throat, aches and pains, runny nose, nasal congestion, and pain and pressure in the sinuses in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.
Coldrex tablets contain paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride, caffeine, terpin hydrate and ascorbic acid (vitamin C).
paracetamol is a pain and fever reducer,
phenylephrine hydrochloride is a sympathomimetic which clears blocked and stuffy noses and sinuses, making breathing easier,
caffeine helps to combat the tiredness associated with colds,
terpin hydrate is an expectorant,
vitamin C (ascorbic acid) helps to replace the natural vitamin C lost during colds and flu, thereby helping to meet the increased vitamin C requirement of the body.
