Maison aux Pois Furmint 2021

It starts as a classic Furmint in the glass, with restrained minerality, basalt after rain. Then the scent of grapefruit and peach explodes in the glass. Round, lovely sip, a nice balance of a little natural residual sugar and vibrant Tokaj acids. Flattering, clean, with white-fleshed fruits, apple and peach, with fresh summer pear at the end, fruit flavors that fill the mouth everywhere. No unpleasant edges, a rolling, round, yet airy sip, a real "I'll have a second glass" experience. Crystal clear, lovely.

Hegyalja winery, not with Hegyalja roots, in perhaps the most exciting terroir in the world. Young. In spirit, definitely. They got into this task as if they were going to live for another thousand years: there is no time, no space, no cost-benefit analysis, it just has to happen... Or maybe as if the world were going to end tomorrow!? 

They have been drinking wine for a long time. It is not the comparison with others that makes them unique, but the fact that their wines are born from their personal fire. Their unique fate feeds them. To do this, they had to break away from the usual and bring to the surface what lives in them, only in them and in their territories. This is also a risk.

They love Hegyalja wines and the exciting terroirs of the world. They taste a lot, but when their own is bottled, the basic principles are tough: they strive for that elegance. The barrel cannot be emphasized, the alcohol cannot heat up and the constantly sought balance cannot be upset. So they work on the perfect proportions for them.

Storage

Store at 10-15 degrees, in a dark, closed place, consume within 1-2 days after opening.
