Nisita nasal ointment can be used in case of dryness of the nasal mucosa: as an additional treatment for a blocked nose, e.g. in case of a cold, to clean and moisten the nasal mucosa, e.g. in case of dry room air, to dissolve sores and dried nasal discharge. What does Nisita nasal ointment contain?
Active ingredients: 28 mg sodium chloride and 72 mg sodium hydrogen carbonate per ml. Excipients: cetyl stearyl alcohol, lemon oil, liquid paraffin, lanolin, neutral oil, white wax.
When can the nasal ointment be used?
Nisita nasal ointment can be used in case of dryness of the nasal mucosa: - as an additional treatment for a blocked nose, e.g. in case of a cold, - to clean and moisten the nasal mucosa, e.g. in case of dry room air, - to dissolve sores and dried nasal discharge. It can be used by adults and children alike.
When should the product not be used?
In case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients.
What should you pay attention to during use?
No precautions are necessary in case of use as prescribed. It is recommended to consult your doctor before use following nasal surgery/accidents.
Can it be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
There is no experience to suggest that the use of the ointment should be avoided during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How to use the nasal ointment?
Squeeze out about 1 cm of ointment from the tube several times a day and insert it into both nostrils. Insert the tube deep into the nostril, squeeze out the cream and spread it on the nasal mucosa by gently rubbing the nose. The more distant nasal surfaces can be coated with a small cotton swab dipped in the ointment. Apply the ointment several times, especially before going to bed. For hygienic reasons and to avoid infections, it is important that only one person uses one tube. Wash the opening of the tube after use.
How long can the product be used?
If necessary, the nasal ointment can be used for a longer period of time. If there is no improvement after 14 days of treatment, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
What side effects can the nasal ointment cause?
In rare cases, the product may cause a mild burning sensation on the nasal mucosa due to its mild irritant effect. In some cases, hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
How should the product be stored?
Store at room temperature, below 25 degrees Celsius. The medicine can be used within the expiry date stated on the packaging. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
