Ideal for preserving and packaging. Cellulose-based, water-clear transparent natural material. The product is hygienic and harmless to health.

Cellophane 'breathes', therefore jars of preserves, pickles, etc. sealed with Cellophane and stored for months lose some of their liquid, so the compote (peach, pear, etc.) that comes to the surface may brown and the top of the jam may dry out.

Use

When covering a larger jar, it is worth doubling the amount of Cellophane used. Care should be taken to ensure that it does not come into contact with the contents of the preserving jar or the pickling liquid during preservation/storage, so that it can dry out and stretch over the top of the jar. Cellophane 'breathes', therefore jars of preserves, pickles, etc. sealed with Cellophane and stored for months lose some of their liquid, so the compote (peach, pear, etc.) that comes to the surface may brown and the top of the jam may dry out.
