Tornai Premium Nagy-Somlói Juhfark 2022

Somló is a 435-meter-high volcanic hill in Veszprém county, on the eastern edge of the Marcal basin. Its name comes from the time when the slopes that were later planted with grapes were still covered by a somfa forest. The quality of Somló wine, in addition to its rich intrinsic values, has become known and recognized in the world because it was among those rare white wines that tolerated transportation well. Thanks to the special volcanic terroir, the native local varieties and the most modern winemaking processes, Somló is now ranked among the greatest in the world again. Somló wine is made exclusively from white grapes. The most widespread varieties in the wine region are Juhfark, Olaszrizling, Furmint, Hárslevelű and Tramini.

Tornai Premium Juhfarok is a true Somló wine. Salty scent. White floral, discreetly polleny scent, purity. Serious full, rich sip, strong alcohol, some bitterness. Long, beautiful taste. Pear, ripe, mineral, honey. Wide, well-balanced, complex wine.

Distributor information
Endre Tornai, the founder, started viticulture and winemaking in 1946 on a nearly two-acre estate. Today, the size of the winery's plantations is over 60 hectares, and the third generation is already involved in the daily work.

The basis of their farming is the application of the most modern viticulture and processing technologies while respecting traditions. Tornai Winery - as a defining winery of Somló, building on decades of experience - is the initiator and supporter of the cooperation of producers in the region. With this, they would also like to help the recognition of Somló wines to grow further both at home and abroad.

Store at 10-15 degrees, in a dark, closed place, consume within 1-2 days after opening.
