Matua Sauvignon Blanc 2023 Marlborough
Beautiful appearance, explosive aroma, with mint, ripe citrus and basil. The sip is also intense, vibrant and very, very fine. The exciting green spices of the aroma continue nicely in it, followed by freshly cut grass, grapefruit, lime, green melon, with silky and complex acids. Thanks to the warm vintage, it has become an even more mature and complex wine, which is further enriched by the fine lees, stainless steel aging.

This was the reaction we got in 1969 when we started out in a tin shed near Auckland, New Zealand. We ignored it, and in 1974 we produced New Zealand's first Sauvignon Blanc, ultimately changing the way the world enjoys white wine.
It all started with a vision shared by Bill & Ross Spence to revolutionize the New Zealand wine industry by crafting wines made from the best fruit from the best vineyards. Today, we are one of New Zealand's most recognized wineries.
Our wines include the Single Vineyard Range, the Lands & Legends series, the fruit-driven Regional series and the innovative First Frost Sauvignon Blanc. After four decades, Bill Spence is still involved as Matua's ambassador, while the wines are crafted by chief winemaker Nikolai St George.
