This Olaszrizling is all about balance – a fragrant, finely structured, elegant wine that showcases the classic characteristics of the variety with new clarity. Its aroma features elderflower, lime, mignonette, and acacia blossom. The palate is round and long-lasting, with notes of acacia honey, white-fleshed peach, lemon zest, salty minerality, and a hint of almond. Terroir – a wine that quietly speaks of its origin. The grapes were harvested on Les-hegy. This vineyard is located in one of the driest regions of Lake Balaton, also known as the Sahara of Balaton. This wine has a low histamine content, so even those sensitive to histamine can safely consume it.
About the Producer
Skrabski Winery is located in Balatonudvari on Les-hegy, where wines are produced in a 150-year-old cellar under the guidance of winemaker Réka Szántai, combining traditional winemaking with modern technology. They place great emphasis on utilizing the terroir, which gives their wines a unique flavor profile. Their wines are organically certified and are uniquely extremely low in histamine in Hungary.
