The story of the Kastélyosdombói Cheese Workshop is an exceptional meeting of centuries-old tradition, 21st century technology and real social commitment. The farm of the former Erdődy castle in the 300-strong village of Somogy county was brought to life by the Ecumenical Aid Organization in 2013: it announced a unique program for families who had lost their homes, who could start a new, independent life by learning and working on the castle's reviving farm. The Kastélyosdombói Cheese Workshop is a small but state-of-the-art facility where there is no mass production: they produce small quantities of premium quality artisan dairy products.
