Kenyeres Birtok's grey cattle roam freely over hundreds of hectares in Gemenc and along the Danube, living as semi-wild animals in the best possible conditions, perfectly suited to their ancient nature, and eating only traditional, natural food. Their semi-wild, active lifestyle and naturally slow growth result in meat that is low in fat, extremely rich and with a particularly distinctive flavour.

At Kenyeres Birtok, they revive centuries-old traditions, the type of organic farming that allows grey cattle to eat only the natural, untreated grasses and medicinal and aromatic plants of the pasture all year round. And with that, we have revealed the biggest secret of why grey cattle meat is so excellent. The reason lies in naturalness. This breed feels good when it can roam the plains undisturbed, when it can graze on whatever it wants, regardless of the season. Animals raised and kept free-range like this provide us with premium food. Thanks to extensive grazing, the flavour of their processed products also reflects the medicinal and aromatic plants found on their estate. Hungarian grey meat is more than just beef!
