Producer information

In 1968, the Budapest Dairy Company began producing the original Soviet dessert (in the Soviet Union, an ancestor of the dessert filled with a curd-butter-sugar mixture, vanilla-flavored, chocolate-coated, already existed under the name "glazirovannij szirok") The idea came to Hungary during a study trip between the COMECON countries. It was first produced in the Szabolcstej dairy plant in Mátészalka, then production also began in the Zalkatej dairy plant in Nagybánhegyes. Following the regime change, the manufacturing companies were privatized, as a result of which the production of Túró Rudi became the property of Friesland-Campina.

Even today, the Pöttyös brand enjoys incredible success, as every age group can find their favorite flavor. Pöttyös products mean more to us Hungarians than just a delicacy. They are always with us and always bring a smile to our face, putting us in a good mood!
