A significant player in the chocolate bar market, Tibi chocolate has been present on the Hungarian market for over 70 years. Sweet-lovers first picked up the still well-known and popular Tibi chocolate from store shelves in 1941 – which was named after the founder's grandson. The ribbed chocolate, primarily intended for children, was available in 2.5 and 5 dkg packages, advertised with posters saying "Tibi is not just mom's favorite". Thanks to extensive advertising, the brand, which became increasingly popular among adults both domestically and abroad, soon had to change its original advertising slogan to "Tibi is not just children's favorite". After nationalization, Tibi was one of the few products that remained in Bonbonetti Kft.'s offering to this day.

Over the past 70 years, Tibi's shape and packaging have changed significantly, and the range has expanded with many new products, making it one of the most popular chocolate brands. For example, the chocolate bars produced in 1 year could cover up to 15 standard football pitches, or stacked on top of each other, they could build a tower reaching the top of Mount Everest.
