Online wine tour

Do you enjoy tasting new types of wines, but the selection is so vast that you don't even know where to start exploring the different varieties? Then the Kifli wine tour is made for you!

Just sit back and let us guide you: every 2 weeks we will take you through a well-known wine region's winery, introducing the winery and vineyard, along with all the local products. Get your wine glasses ready, and don't forget to prepare some cheese bites, nuts, and other snacks alongside the bottles.

We wish you a pleasant wine education!

This week, the Feind Winery is being introduced, and they have also prepared a prize game!

Purchase at least 3 bottles of Feind wines between July 6 and 19, 2022, to have a chance to win one of the two wine tastings offered by the Winery!

Our winery was founded in 1995 by Lajos Feind when he purchased 14 hectares of vineyards on the shores of Lake Balaton. This is where viticulture began, and it was carried forward towards winemaking. Over 20 years, he expanded our vineyard area to 130 hectares. Most of the vineyards are located in Balatonfőkajár on Öreg Hill, but we also have areas in Balatonvilágos, Balatonaliga, and Balatonfüred.

In January 2019, Lajos Feind entrusted the management of the winery to his son Zoltán Feind and managing director István Bacskai. According to the new leaders, the winery had long outgrown itself, so they envisioned a 2,000 m2 winery on the outskirts of Balatonfőkajár. This was a complete investment, meaning that from grape processing to presses to the bottling plant, everything is now located in one place.

We work with 20 different grape varieties on 130 hectares, with the main focus of the winery - in which we are the strongest - being aromatic white wines and rosés, but we also produce many fine red wines.

This year, we started introducing radical yield restrictions on 5% of our areas. On these 7 hectares, we have very high-quality expectations for the wines being produced. We applied this even to varieties like Irsai Olivér, where this is not very common. We are eagerly awaiting the results and are curious about the quality improvements we can achieve with these varieties.

Annually, we produce 12 - 13 thousand hectoliters of wine, and we wish to modernize our winery further. One of our goals is to develop the production of tank and bottle-fermented sparkling wines. We intend to increase the vineyard areas and plan to move towards organic cultivation.

Which one will you try first?
